A funeral Mass for Franciscan Father Vincent de Paul Cushing will be offered at noon on Nov. 23 at St. Camillus Church in Silver Spring. Father Cushing died Nov. 14. He was 90.

Archbishop William E. Lori announced that the observance of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be transferred to Dec. 9 this year.

Almost exactly 50 years after Father Francis “Fritz” Gollery received permission to leave the priesthood, the 86-year-old clergyman has been reinstated as a priest of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

A funeral Mass was held Nov. 13 for Oblate Sister of Providence Lucia Quesada, who died Nov. 3. She was 96 and had served an Oblate sister for more than 70 years.
